Dual-Energy CT (DECT) has been proven to be useful in a wide variety of clinical applications, both for specific indications and in the arena of incidental findings, which are common in daily practice. After completing this course, participants will have a better understanding of the major types of dual energy CT equipment and protocols to effectively utilize this modality in their everyday practice. For those practitioners not yet using this powerful tool, this course is an excellent introduction to ways this technology can help mitigate risks and costs of additional diagnostic testing. Avoiding delays in diagnosis will allow radiologists to better serve their patients by decreasing diagnostic uncertainty. During the case-based portion of the course, each speaker will walk through how specialized dual energy images provided clues to the diagnosis in a variety of clinical scenarios.
